So, I am working in my company for close to 3 years now. Last year I changed my branch and shifted in hopes of better work, better colleagues and promotion.

I work with some senior experts (best in their fields) and my team. I slagged my a, did grunt work and basically tried my best to prove my worth.

While, everyone notices my work no one really gives me any benefit for it. I was also denied promotion along with another girl in my dept. There was undertones of sexism, and misogyny from these 40 and 50+ men in my dept. I try and ignore..

Finally, I was getting some space to grow and endorsement. And then voila, new manager, who is absolutely unimpressive. I thought it would be better since new guy, new energy and since he is in his mid 30s might not be misogynist.

He is everything I didnt wanted. He is unprofessional, calls me "Tu", have 0 knowledge about the domain, heavily religious. (He has numerous gods placed in his cabin). And I am okay with it. His faith. But constantly asks of I am religious or not. HOW THE F THAT MATTERS?

I have been working on projects and now suddenly he is lopped in all meetings while I work on decks. And I am NOT!

PS: I am updating my CV but THIS IS SO UNFAIR.

mrsphilbertgodphry ⚫ 1d ago I'm in a similar situation. I don't really know how to handle my situation either. I work from home, and my boss has been with the company for almost 15 years. I work in IT and she has absolutely no idea how to use simple technology. She's always late to any of her meetings - usually about 10 mins. I have

I have been at the company for four years since they first began my department and my boss became the Director, and was also passed up for a promotion within my department this year. I discovered that the new hire to our department WHILE I WAS TRAING SAID NEW PERSON would become my manager.

We conduct training sessions for our ticketing system within the company and she is constantly telling VPs and their direct reports the wrong information regarding our process. I get so tired and frustrated that she asks me for things, projects, etc that I have sent to her multiple times. She

is like this with everyone. I push back to her and correct her, so I guess that's why she probably doesn't like me. I don't have the patience for this cr p. My co-workers seem to believe that she is just way too busy and forgets things. I don't know. I'm no doctor, so I won't be diagnosing anyone.

However, a lot of projects that she is involved in is just because she inserts herself to be involved and is not required to be involved.

She doesn't take up for her team and will let anyone and everyone run all over us. So all of that to tell you that I feel your pain. I am also applying to positions internally and outside of my company. My mental health can't take this much longer.
